How we evolved
KEMPEGOWDA BANK was incorporated on 08-05-1998 by registering at Assistant Register Of Co-Operative Societies Tumkur Division, Tumkur with a register No: ART/RCS No.24507/1998-99 under the Karnataka State Co-Operative Societies Act,1959 in the name of Kempegowda Pattana Sahakari Bank Ltd with 2,982 members and authorized capital of Rs.50.00 Lakhs and again The Bank was re-registered on 12-03-2002 as “KEMPEGOWDA PATTANA SOUHARDA SAHAKARI BANK NIYAMITA “., at Registrar Of Co-Operative Societies At Bangalore with a register No.RSR:SOUKAA:173:NONDANI:073:2001-02 under the Karnataka State Souharda Sahakari Act,1997.
RBI registration
The Reserve Bank Of India issued banking license on 15-10-1998 with License No. UBD.KAN 1640P as ‘Kempegowda Pattana Souharda Sahakari Bank Niyamitha, Tumkur’. as the bank was re-registered under the Karnataka Souharda Sahakari Act,1997 The Reserve Bank Of India has modified Banking license with License No.UBD KAN 0023P as “KEMPEGOWDA PATTANA SOUHARDA SAHAKARI BANK NIYAMITHA, TUMKUR” in lieu of old License on 09-10-2002.

THE ‘KEMPEGOWDA BANK’ was inaugurated by his holiness JAGADGURU SRI SRI SRI BALAGANGADHARANATHA SWAMIJI PONTIFF OF ADICHUNCHANAGIRI MUTT & SRI SRI SRI NANJAVADHOOTHA SWAMIJI PONTIFF OF SRI GURUGUNDA BRAMHESHWARA MUTT PATTANAYAKANAHALLI and started its business on 04-04-1999 at Vidyodaya Law College Complex, Kunigal Road, Tumkur later the place of business shifted to its own Building at 4th cross, Ashoknagar, Tumakuru.
